Sheryl Stephens-Trask
Sheryl Stephens-Trask, LCSW-C, CTMH is a licensed clinical social worker and certified tele-mental health provider in Maryland. She obtained her Master of Social Work from Howard University in 1998 and has extensive experience providing counseling to children, adolescents, and adults. She utilizes an integrative approach using interventions tailored to meet the needs of clients to foster awareness and acceptance of challenges that cause emotional distress to then begin movement and allow clients to work through the dynamics to promote healing and resolve. Her approach is to implement a person-centered, strengths-based model with a clinical focus on empowering individuals as they heal emotionally.
Her 20+ years of direct practice experience encompass conducting Bio-psychosocial evaluations and providing psychotherapy to clients of different cultural affiliations and behavioral health presentations. She has provided clinical supervision and peer consulting for the last 10 years. She is a Maryland Board-approved clinical supervisor for licensed graduate level social workers and professional counselors.
Ms. Stephens-Trask is also a mediator and has acquired the necessary skills and training hours to provide mediation in the state of Maryland. She holds a Professional Member Status with The Association of Conflict Resolution (ACR).
