Cari Brown-Duncan
Cari Brown-Duncan is a licensed clinical social worker in Maryland. She obtained her Master of Social Work from Howard University in 1998. She has extensive experience working with clients of all age groups with a vast array of clinical presentations and concerns, including anxiety, depression, relational issues, communication difficulties, and life changes/transitions. Her primary client group is adults. She has over 20 years of experience conducting evaluations, outpatient therapy, group therapy, and management in a variety of settings and has provided clinical supervision for the last 10 years.
Her approach in therapy incorporates a strengths-based model, empowerment theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness, emphasizing the mind-body connection. She incorporates compassionate and motivational therapies as well.
